The Colony located off the coast of Sarasota offers 12 tennis courts, 10 soft surface and two are lighted for night play. The Colony's friendly tennis staff includes qualified professionals who give innovative and fun lessons and clinics to guests of all ages and ability levels. Our tennis staff can help guests to reserve a court, schedule private or group instruction or even assit in finding a match.

Complimentary Tennis Services & Amenities

• Tennis Court Time: Tennis court time at The Colony is offered complimentary for resort guests and is available for a nominal fee for non-resort guests. For your convenience, court reservations are required.
• Adult Tennis Match Making:For adults able to sustain a rally, serve and
  keep score, please phone the Tennis Center if you need a tennis partner. Our tennis center keeps a list of names of local players who are always looking for a game.
• Junior Tennis Match Making: We keep a list of in-house Juniors who are
  available for matches. You may register for the program at the Tennis Center. (Offered in peak season only)
• Racquet Evaluation: (Racquets, strings, and grips) Our tennis staff will gladly help you answer any questions regarding your tennis equipment. Racquet stringing and re-gripping is available for a fee.
• Tiny Tots Tennis: This is a fun-filled 1/2 hour of tennis games guaranteed to make those first on-court experiences memorable for kids and their
  parents. Age 6 and under. (Offered in peak season only)
• Seasonal Programs - Exhibitions: Pick up a tip or two watching a competitive exhibition match between Colony Pros or visiting tennis celebrities during holidays and peak occupancy periods.
