Seafood & Wine Festival November 12 - 15, 2009
For each of the past nineteen years, The Colony on Longboat Key has celebrated the beginning of Stone Crab season by inviting this nation's leading chefs and vintners to join our guests for a long weekend of fabulous food and wine in a beautiful setting at the edge of the warm, blue-green waters of the Gulf of Mexico.
This year, in honor of our 20th Anniversary of this renowned event, The Colony is inviting alumni from past Festivals voted by our event guests for their cuisine and wines, past food and vineyard selections, crowd appeal and overall excellence. Choosing from a roster of past participating chefs that reads like a "Who's Who" of the culinary and wine worlds such as Bob Kinkead, Vincent Guerithault, David Burke, Michelle Bernstein, Kerry Simon, Larry Forgione, Tony Mantuano, Melissa Kelly, Douglas Rodriguez, Frank Stitt, Edward Brown and Dickie Brennan and Winemakers from many leading wineries such as Antica, Au Bon Climat, Silverado, Swanson, Far Niente, Arrowood, Schramsberg, Clos Pegase, Biondi Santi and Royal Takaji have is no easy task.
The intimate scale of the event presents a rare opportunity for those who attend to meet some of today's most famous chefs and vintners representing many of the world's most admired wines.
